Major Accident

At the bottom of a large hill more than 40 cars were involved in a large accident. Some cars were overturned and others were left to rest on top of other cars. The pile-up was so large that even a few military vehicles and a fire truck ended up being involved in the crash as well. What caused the big wreck?

The Burglar

A man was wanted for burglarizing dozens of businesses over a period of several months. Surveillance footage from the businesses clearly showed this man's face and the local TV Station showed this footage to viewers on many occasions. The local police department even placed "wanted" posters around the community to help catch the burglar. However, when the man was spotted by two police officers familiar with the burglaries, he was not arrested. What happened?
